Description:
Definition of a lighting system for industrial applications that meets the criteria of energy savings, reduced maintenance, improved visual comfort of workers and personalization of the luminous atmosphere. In this specific context of application, LED technology presents considerable advantages compared to traditional lighting sources: reduced maintenance (which determine interruptions during working activities), greater flexibility of use and lighting personalization (dimming for the regulation of lighting levels, different correlated colour temperature in relation to different visual tasks, beam and lighting distribution variation, instantaneous power on of the devices, intelligent interface with light and presence sensors). The research has focused on implementing an LED task lighting fixture for personalizing the luminous performances considering also the new possibilities for controlling and managing lighting through intuitive interfaces. In addition to this, the research has explored new techniques and methods of rapid prototyping for customizing LEDs lighting fixture for research scopes.
